Tony, 59, is an award-winning writer who has been at the forefront of British journalism for more than three decades and is known for his great writing, sharp insight and unique humour.
Tony Parsons said: "I am thrilled to be joining the best-selling newspaper in the country. Every footballer wants to play for Real Madrid. Every actor wants to work in Hollywood. And any journalist who truly wants to reach millions of the British public wants a column in The Sun.
“These are challenging times for the newspaper industry but I am convinced that The Sun’s editor David Dinsmore, has the vision, strategy and resources to ensure that The Sun is one of the industry’s success stories in the twenty-first century. I am proud and excited to be a member of David’s new team at The Sun.”
The outspoken patriot and self-described “fanatical royalist” assumes the role from 15 September, joining Louise Mensch, Guido Fawkes, Jake Humphreys, Harry Redknapp and the rest of The Sun Sunday’s highly renowned team of columnists.
David Dinsmore, Editor of The Sun, said: “I am delighted to announce that Tony will be joining Britain’s most popular Sunday newspaper.
