Drawing on his experience of earning 73 caps for England and being a two-time Premier League winner, Sol will broadcast from inside the Wembley Stadium at every single England fixture during the tournament, bringing talkSPORT listeners exclusive analysis.

The former England defender will join an experienced team of commentators including Mark Saggers, Jim Proudfoot, and England Euro 96 hero Stuart Pearce, beginning with England’s opener against Croatia on Sunday, June 13.

Sol Campbell said: “It’s amazing to join the team at talkSPORT for the Euros. I can’t wait to get started. Come on England!”

His signing follows talkSPORT’s exclusive documentary, Being Sol Campbell, which offers an inside look into his life and his pursuit into football management.

Head of talkSPORT, Lee Clayton said: "With Sol joining Stuart Pearce in our commentary team, we have more than 150 caps and many stories and experiences from representing England at the very highest level. Throughout the Euros we plan to make a lot of noise with our coverage, before, during and after matches. We have every game live and Jose Mourinho will be joining England legends Stuart and Sol to give his verdict on England.
