Q LIVE – the UK version of the game show…

Q LIVE hosts Sam Pinkham and Amy Voce.

The next generation of quiz show app, Q LIVE, is set to take the nation by storm when it launches on 12th July 2018.

In a world where the smartphone revolution has led to solitary consumption, Q LIVE taps into the communal motivations of being part of a live event. With over 18m people in the UK playing mobile video games each day, and 13m watching TV quiz shows, Q LIVE brings people together and introduces the traditional Saturday night game show format to the smartphone era.

The games will encapsulate the excitement previously provided by big Saturday night quiz show games. With the Weakest Link and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire a thing of the past, Q LIVE brings the exhilaration of these shows straight to the mobile screen in an exciting quick-fire round of questions, hosted by a live quizmaster.

Every day, users will be prompted that that the game is about to begin by a push notification. A live quizmaster will then ask a series of 12 increasingly difficult pop culture and current affairs questions. One wrong answer means you are eliminated. The catch is that players have 10 seconds to answer each question, leaving no time or opportunity to use a search engine.

For launch, the prize money up for grabs is £500 however this will rise to up to £1,000 for big weekend games and special occasion events.

Quiz o’clock will occur on weekdays at 1pm and 8pm and on weekends at 8pm and users can cash out using PayPal at any time. Presenters at launch will include Virgin Radio hosts Amy Voce and Sam Pinkham, with new names being introduced daily.

Q LIVE hosts Sam Pinkham and Amy Voce at Q LIVE comment: “In the same way that both Love Island and the World Cup have brought the nation together, Q LIVE will deliver a daily dose of comradery and competition through the trivia games. We are really excited to be part of the newest quiz game which is sure to make the whole nation quick winners!”

The app is available to download for free on:
