The prestigious awards for our Armed Forces over 10 categories recognise heroism, overcoming adversity, innovation and inspiring others.

Mrs May heralded the efforts of The Sun at the glittering awards ceremony when she said: “I thank The Sun not just for these awards but for the way in which they stand up for and take pride in our Armed Forces week in and week out.”

At a 10 Downing Street reception for Millies nominees earlier in the day, Defence Secretary Sir Michael Fallon also praised The Sun when saying: “It’s through The Sun that these stories are now going to be told.”
