News UK titles have pledged their support to six charities for their Christmas appeals this year, with video ad tech company Unruly supporting another. Last year The Sun, The Times and The Sunday Times’ Christmas appeals raised a combined total of over £1.5 million for good causes.

You can see a full break down of the charities being supported this year below- please give generously.

The Times

The Times is championing four charities, choosing those that are working to address some of the world’s most urgent problems, to help change lives for the better at home and abroad.

Mercy Corps is a humanitarian organisation delivering aid to Yemen. It is helping malnourished families by delivering food and building water systems, irrigation channels and sanitation facilities. It trains communities and school children in hygiene, to control the rapidly spreading cholera epidemic.

Surfers Against Sewage, is a national marine conservation charity committed to turning back the tide of plastic that is threatening our coasts, rivers and canals, and has collected 116 tonnes of plastic from rivers and beaches.

St Mungo’s is an English charity seeking to end street homelessness and rebuild lives. Readers in Scotland will be invited to support Cyrenians, a charity working to tackle homelessness in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

The Sunday Times

The Sunday Times will be helping the homeless, partnering with homelessness charity Crisis to give more people in trouble some Christmas cheer and long-term help in the ‘Homeless in Britain’ appeal.

The Sun

The Sun is supporting Bliss, the leading UK charity dedicated to babies born premature and sick, with its Light Up Christmas campaign. Light Up Christmas aims to bring hope to the thousands of tiny babies on neonatal units this Christmas. Meanwhile The Sun on Sunday is supporting Children with Cancer.

The Sun will also be organising Christmas care packages to deliver to parents who are spending Christmas on neonatal units across the country.

The Sun on Sunday

The Sun on Sunday is supporting Children with Cancer. The paper is encouraging readers to donate money and toys to bring some much-needed Christmas joy to the many children with cancer in hospital over Christmas.

Unruly

Unruly, News UK's video ad tech company, is donating media across its marketplace of publishers to raise awareness of One for One. The initiative by baby food brand Piccolo will donate one infant meal to the British Red Cross for every Piccolo product bought in Tesco stores nationwide, to support BRC’s work with destitute refugee families across the country.
