In the most recent PAMCo industry data released today, News UK has become the number one publisher reaching 73% of all newsbrand readers.
With a combined deduplicated total monthly publisher reach of 33.4m News UK has overtaken Mail Metro Media, which reaches 33.3m adults, and Reach PLC (Trinity Mirror and Northern & Shell titles combined), which has a reach of 32.5m adults.
Meanwhile The Sun has reclaimed its position as the UK’s number one newsbrand for total brand reach with a monthly audience of 31.3m adults.
With a 7.41% increase since the last PAMCo release, The Sun is now 2.4m readers ahead of The Mail on 28.9m.
The Sun’s 26.5m monthly digital reach is now 1.8m ahead of the Mail, meaning The Sun is now the UK’s biggest digital newsbrand according to both PAMCo and comScore.
In print, The Sun maintains its position as number one across the month, holding the biggest paid-for print-only audience of 8.96m readers. You can read more on The Sun becoming number one here.
Meanwhile despite its premium digital subscription model, The Times and The Sunday Times' monthly digital reach has increased by 2.55% to 4.03m. In print The Times and The Sunday Times maintain the highest average issue readership among the quality titles respectively.
