News UK launches Jungle VIP daily podcast from Wireless Studios

Wireless Studios, part of Wireless - the audio division of News UK and home to Virgin Radio, talkRADIO and talkSPORT, as well as a raft of local radio stations - has unveiled a brand new daily podcast to celebrate the new season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.

Presented by Jamie East, Sun film critic and host of Reality Check and talkFILM podcasts, Jungle VIP is the podcast for fans in need of their daily dose of behind-the-scenes commentary and gossip from the Celebrity Jungle.

Jamie will be joined by a line-up of star-studded ex-Jungle campmates, including Vicki Michelle, Annabel Giles and Danielle Lloyd to reveal what Jungle life is really like. They’ll be giving the insider story on everything from digesting the latest Bushtucker trial to whether there’s really a caravan round the back doing bacon sandwiches.

Jungle VIP launched with the start of the new series of I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here this week - and a new half-hour episode will be available every morning right up to the moment the new King or Queen of the Jungle is crowned on December 8.

Consumers can access the podcast - and get every episode delivered straight to their device each morning - by subscribing on iTunes and acast.

Jamie says “My favourite three weeks are here and this time, I’m recording every thought, frustration and retch! I can’t wait to see what Holly and Dec put Noel and the gang through for the benefit of our entertainment - almost certainly his Deal or No Deal will be far more fun than the one we’re facing back home. I want to see them suffer, squirm and scream - BRING IT ON!”

Produced by Wireless Studios, the Jungle VIP podcast will be supported by The Sun as well as through online advertising and through the Wireless portfolio of independent local radio stations.

Matt Hall, Wireless Head of On-demand Audio adds: “On-demand audio is an area of huge potential for Wireless and I’m a Celebrity is the perfect vehicle for us to develop a podcast format to add expert insight, timely analysis and immense fun to the Jungle experience.”
