The Sun has seen a month-on-month increase of 1.67% with the ABC reporting sales figures for July of 2,281,301 - the biggest month-on-month uplift of all the daily tabloids.
‘The Son’, the special souvenir edition following the birth of the Royal Baby, produced the biggest sales increase of all the tabloid newspapers. The Sun also beat its tabloid rivals with all its subsequent editions covering the first appearance of the baby through to the naming of Prince George.
The ABC has reported sales figures of 1,927,406 for the Sunday edition – a month-on-month increase of 2.78% - the biggest sales uplift of all the national Sunday tabloid newspapers.
The Sun on Sunday’s revelation that a Brit rock star had fathered a love child and their candid interview with Michael Parkinson yielded strong sales, along with the exclusive on Denise Van Outen’s marriage breakdown.
