Five wins for TNL at the British Journalism Awards

 

The Times and The Sunday Times took News UK’s industry awards for 2018 to 131 at the British Journalism Awards this week.

Collectively, the titles won five awards.

The Times’ chief reporter Sean O’Neill landed the Scoop of the Year title for breaking the Oxfam scandal story.

Paula Bronstein of The Sunday Times won the Photojournalism category for her images of the Rohingya crisis.

The Sunday Times Insight duo of Jonathan Calvert and George Arbuthnott emerged victorious in the Sports Journalism section.

TNL dominated the Comment Journalism category with Janice Turner (The Times) winning and Dominic Lawson (The Sunday Times) highly commended.

The Sunday Times’ Middle East correspondent Louise Callaghan won the Marie Colvin Award for her reporting in Syria this year to reveal the human impact of war.
