Sunday Times Style has announced that best-selling-author, journalist and broadcaster Dolly Alderton is rejoining to take up the new role of agony aunt from Sunday 5th July.
From heartbreak and toxic friendships to work and life mojo problems, Dolly will use her compassionate wisdom and warm wit to tackle the worries keeping Style readers awake at night on her new Dear Dolly page.
Dolly, who has been called the voice of her generation, was previously a columnist and dating expert for Sunday Times Style and is back after publishing her award-winning memoir Everything I Know About Love. In conjunction with the publication of her book, Dolly created and hosted a podcast mini-series called Love Stories,in which she talks to guests, including Sharon Horgan and Sara Pascoe, about their most defining relationships.
Dolly said: “I will not be here to judge or issue conclusive guidance on what is right or wrong. I hope I will be able to reassure you or make you laugh, dipping into the heaving archives of my own regrets. Regrets and reflection, plus a big and often hard-to-swallow dose of humility - that is all that’s required to give advice.”
Lorraine Candy, editor-in-chief of Style, said: “I’m delighted Dolly is returning to the pages of Style. She will be the perfect agony aunt with her mixture of empathy, warmth and wit, and I know her wise words will resonate with many women."
