News UK titles have faired well at The Comment Awards this morning, with The Times bagging four top gongs and The Sun scooping the eiDigest special award.

The seventh Comment Awards are celebrating the achievements of the UK’s finest and most influential print and online commentators and their editors.

The Sun’s special award was presented by Julia Hobsbawn, founder of Editorial Intelligence, for daily leader ‘The Sun Says’.

The Times’ awards included David Aaronovitich’s Comment Piece of the Year, Sathnam Sanghera’s Media Commentator of the Year, Hugo Rifkind’s Arts, Culture & Entertainment Commentator of the Year, and Jenni Russell’s Society & Diversity Commentator of the Year gongs.

Our winners saw off tough competition from a range of publications including The Guardian and The Financial Times.
