8th March 2019, London: Chris Evans, today announced the official line-up that will be appearing at the inaugural RunFestRun event, the first live event from Wireless Events.
Billed as ‘Britain’s big new running party’, the family-friendly festival will take place from 31st May – 2nd June this year in the beautiful grounds of Bowood House and Gardens.
The three-day camping festival will include running routes around the beautiful Bowood House & Gardens. Ranging from an immersive 2.5K fun run through to a timed half marathon, there’s something for every member of the family.
The event will kick off with a ‘Feel Good Friday’ that includes a Sunset Shuffle, led by our running celebrities, followed by music from Razorlight and Reef.
Super Saturday will offer a challenge for both seasoned marathon runners along with those just starting their fitness journey and culminate in an incredible party including Ten Tonnes, The Coral, Faithless DJ set and headliner, Olly Murs.
Sunday will see Bowood turn to Bugwood as a fancy dress bug themed fun run swarms the venue. Dressed up runners will take on the 2.5k or 5k Big Bug Run with special challenges to win extra points for your team. The run will be followed by a mega lunchtime party with two hours of amazing bands, DJs, street acts and special guests before the closing ceremony at 3pm.
The weekend will also boast a host of top talent from great sporting speakers to food fanatics, mindfulness mentors and awesome authors. The current line-up includes, Fearne Cotton, Melissa Hemsley, Jo Pavey, Christine Ohuruogu & Ben Smith to name but a few.
Chris says: “We want people to join us for an amazing weekend of running while having a great time outdoors with friends and family. We’ve signed up some incredible talent that should really help inspire and entertain throughout the festival."
Vassos Alexander, co-host of RunFestRun added, “It’s basically my dream event. Chris and I developed the idea because we just want people to run, have fun and have a party. Three shiny happy days with everyone going home with a great big grin on their face."
As well as all the above, there will also be lots of different activities to keep the kids entertained across the weekend. From fancy dress and mask making, to sports day games and live theatre shows, they won’t get bored!
Tickets for the event will go on sale 21st March and will be available at the RunFestRun website. A full weekend of entertainment, passes and camping for an adult is just £140, or £65 for a child (aged 7-17) and 6 and under, £10. Alternatively, a family pass (2 adults + 2 children) can be purchased for £350.
