About
News UK
Generous staff have raised more than £5,000 for Save the Children.
The final donations total is made up of News UK Christmas Jumper Day online and cash donations across our sites and includes The Sunday Times Style Magazine’s £3,500 donation from their Style beauty sale.
On the day last Friday, pupils from Carlton Vale Primary School were invited into The News Building for a Christmas party, including a Christmas dinner and a special visit from Santa. There was also a balloon artist, elf face painting and a festive gospel choir.
Each child received a bag of books from Santa, donated by HarperCollins.
The prize for best dressed in The News Building went to Tracy Sharman from Health & Wellbeing, who landed a hamper with a bottle of Times gin, presented by News UK CEO Rebekah Brooks.
If you would like to donate, you can do so on our Just Giving page here.
News UK will also be making a £1,500 corporate donation to the charity, to take the total donation to Save the Children to more than £6,500.
The News Building was transformed into a festive winter wonderland on Friday for Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day. Take a look!
