It was high fives all round as The Sun’s Euro 2016 Tournamental campaign dominated The Drum Creative Out of Home Awards in London last night (Wednesday).
It was the newly-created in-house agency Pulse Creative’s first campaign for The Sun that ran during the summer for the Euro football championships in France.
The Tournamental campaign landed the blue ribbon Grand Prix gong, plus the Traditional: 48 or 96 sheet poster, Out of Home campaign, digital advert and innovation accolades.
Pulse MD Danny Josephs said: “When we started Pulse we aimed to create a new agency with everyone from our different backgrounds working together, with no obvious divide between departments housed directly next to you, our clients.
“We believed this approach would lead to better understanding of your business and the creation of better ideas.
“As The Sun’s Euros Tournamental campaign picked up the Grand Prix at The Drum outdoor awards, this was vindicated for the first time.
“Creative, media and tech working hand in hand with you, our clients meant we delivered over 400 real-time headlines whilst most other agencies – actually, probably all other agencies – would have been working out who and what to brief.
“Just a shame the football was so poor!”
