Mark Atherton, a Money reporter with the Times, has been named best national journalist at an investment industry event.

The annual awards dinner was held last night (Wednesday) by the Association of Investment Companies, a trade body, and recognises the best journalists reporting on investment companies.

It is the third time that Atherton has won the prize.
