I’m an Assistant Producer at Times Radio.
Lay a bit of context on that?
I work on Drive with John Pienaar (Monday-Thursday) and Cathy Newman (Friday). I spend a lot of my time reading and watching the news, editing audio, writing cues and talking to very interesting people.
What attracted you to the role in the first place?
Radio is a very intimate medium, get it right and it’s the best thing in the world. I was keen to join Times Radio especially as it presented a rare opportunity to do things differently and experiment.What’s the most interesting/challenging part of your job?
The most interesting part of the job for me is the morning meeting we have at the start of the day, we chat about what we’ve seen so far and start to build the shape of the programme for later in the day. I always come away from the meeting with more knowledge and an insight into different perspectives. It can be good fun too. The most challenging is when a guest drops out at the last minute!What are the three most important things on your working agenda today?I’ve got a forward planning day today so I’m booking guests for the next few months, I’ve also got to clear my inbox boringly as I’m one of those people who lets it build up over time.Last book, film, binge watch and sounds you consumed?– Last book Richard Osman’s The Thursday Murder Club– Last film: Sound of Metal one of my favourites this year

I’ve got two, my parents. I don’t think I’ll ever stop needing their advice.
