The Sun’s World Cup activity wins two Kinsale Shark Awards

The Sun's video short for its World Cup coverage, Office Knockabout, took home a Bronze Kinsale Shark Award.

The Sun won two Kinsale Shark awards on Friday (September 28) for its World Cup activity.

In the category of Best International Print/Outdoor activity, The Sun’s World Cup flag poster took home a Silver Shark. Produced by Pulse Creative, the poster wrap features an optimistic, tongue-in-cheek ode to England’s World Cup chances. Using the names of footballing greats past and present, the poem takes the form of St. George’s flag.

The Sun also won a Bronze Shark for its Office Knockabout video short in the International Film category. Produced again by Pulse Creative and directed by Andy Lambert, the video brings to life the truism that the rules go out the window for the four weeks of the tournament. The video received over 7.2m views in total and can be viewed here.

Now in it’s 56th year, The Kinsale Shark awards recognise the biggest and best creative advertising around the world.
