News UK's commercial team, The Bridge, has launched an Automated Advertising Academy committing to a 12 month programme of education, open to News UK staff and external media agencies.
The series is centred around the developing world of automation with each monthly session focusing on one topic, presented by a mixture of external industry professionals and News UK staff.
On Wednesday October 4, there will be a session on: ‘Supply chain, from Agency to Publisher’ session will be hosted by News UK’s Head of programmatic, Ian Hocking, with guest speakers from a range of external media agencies.
The event will focus on supply chain optimisation and is a rare opportunity to see the whole supply chain from Agency to Publisher, looking at how the whole supply chain works together and adds value.

- DSP – Joel Livesey, Director of Partnerships (The Trade Desk)
- Verification – Aaron Stettner Managing Director (IAS)
- SSP – Luke Fenney, VP, Publisher Development (Index Exchange)
- Publisher – Barbara Agus, Digital Director International (Time Inc)
The panel will discuss topics including first price vs. second price, Ads .txt, transparency and for the first time, Publicis and Index will discuss the Publicis Private Exchange and their learning’s so far.
