The Times and Sunday Times celebrate the life of Muhammad Ali in a lavish 88-page bound magazine, available to purchase from today (Monday July 4).
Commemorating one of the greatest legends of our times, the magazine combines stunning pictures with words from leading sports writers and commentators including Hugh McIlvanney, Matthew Syed, Neil Allen and The Times boxing correspondent Ron Lewis.
Allen interviewed three-time world heavyweight boxing champion Ali on many occasions and tracked most of his career, while recently-retired The Sunday Times top sportswriter McIlvanney is the leading Ali expert.
There will also be a stunning picture portfolio from The Sunday Times photographer Chris Smith, who has shared several close encounters with the boxing legend.
The guide will cover all aspects of Ali’s life from his sporting career to personal life and his role in civil rights. There are inspiring extracts from his autobiography, first-hand accounts of those who met him, interviews with his wife and children and rare, never-before-seen photographs from The Times picture archive.
The Times and Sunday Times are producing the definitive record of one of the most defining characters in modern history.
