The Times and The Sunday Times partners with ASUS to…

The Times and The Sunday Times have launched a new subscription offer that will bundle a digital subscription with a device - a first for UK newspapers.

Customers will be able to buy a Google Nexus 32GB tablet for just £50 (£199 RRP) when they subscribe to the Digital Pack for £4 per week for 18-months. Alternatively, customers can pay £299 up front for both the device and 18-month Digital Pack subscription.

The Digital Pack entitles customers to both The Times and The Sunday Times apps and websites plus membership to Times+ where they can enjoy a wealth of events, offers and extras including complimentary film screenings, private views and expert talks.

The Google Nexus has been awarded the Gadget of the Year by T3.

Tom Whitwell, Head of Digital for The Times and Sunday Times, said: "The Nexus 7 is a fantastic device; small, lightweight and very powerful. Bundled with 18-months of journalism from The Times and Sunday Times, it's an unbeatable offer. If I didn't have one already, I would definitely want one for Christmas."

Suzi Watford, Marketing Director, The Times and The Sunday Times, said: "This new offer will allow customers to enjoy our award-winning content on an award-winning device, whenever and wherever they want.

"We are committed to providing our customers with great offers and look forward to initiating more digital firsts in 2013."

To coincide with this offer, readers will be able to access The Times and the Sunday Times together for the first time in the same tablet app on Android, allowing customers to enjoy outstanding content from both titles seven days a week in the same place.
