The Metropolitan Police have dropped their investigation into The Sun Crime Editor Mike Sullivan, arrested as part of Operation Elveden in January 2012.

Scotland Yard say there will be no further action against the distinguished journalist.

A spokesman for News International said: " After more than a year of uncertainty, we are pleased that Mike can now carry on with his work without this distraction. We are grateful to him and others for the professionalism they have shown under very difficult circumstances.”
