The Times LUXX is pleased to announce the appointment of Sophie Goodwin as Fashion Director. Sophie is a London based Stylist and Contributing Editor.
She began her career in fashion and publishing as the Shopping Editor for The Evening Standard’s ES Magazine, later moving to Tatler, where she served as Fashion Director. Sophie is now Director of Special Projects at Cabana, alongside curating communities and experiences for emerging and luxury brands.
In her new role, Sophie will style and oversee all fashion content for LUXX, reporting to editor-in-chief, Kate Reardon. Her position will focus on developing and executing new commercial partnerships, creating sophisticated brand content and hosting events, together with the expansion of digital and social media platforms.
Sophie Goodwin said: “My life in publishing started 16 years ago at a newspaper and it’s thrilling returning to this medium to assume the role of Fashion Director at The Times LUXX. It’s a title I admire enormously and under Kate Reardon’s editorship it will continue to make waves: reimagining brand and client experience while reflecting fashion’s new mood. My priorities include honing a powerful commercial footing, and forging forward with digital and social spheres. Our fashion content will be responsible, engaging and elegant – but, above all, LUXX will sell well beyond the page.”
Kate Reardon, Editor-in-Chief of LUXX said: “I am genuinely delighted that Sophie has accepted the position of Fashion Director of The Times LUXX – her exceptional reputation, talent, energy and contacts will be an enormous asset. In this challenging economic environment, even operating in a crowded market, LUXX is happily outperforming commercial forecasts. Sophie’s beautiful editorial work and sophisticated understanding of the luxury industry will serve as rocket fuel.”
